Even though I possess a keen appreciation for wildlife, I find it odd that Kansans discuss deer so frequently. I should conduct some scholarly research on the topic, but that would cut into my baking time. It's easier to just play along with my fellow Kansans, so I offer you this:
A doe ran into the side of my car, so instead of blogging, I've spent a lot of my free time dealing with the fallout that comes with such trauma.
keep your eyes peeled,

PS. . . I'm sure deer are discussed frequently in other states, but since I haven't lived anywhere else, I can't be for certain.

Yikes! So sorry about your car. You are the second blogger I know of to have that happen so far this year. (Apparently it happens frequently in Oklahoma, too.) I think I mentioned in one of my "too busy to write a real post" posts (last month?) that our horses had gotten out. Well, I never did get around to telling that story, but it was all a deer's fault. A beautiful buck came out of the woods just a couple hundred feet away from me and distracted me from latching the gate. I was walking around with my head in the clouds all morning--until I got the call that the horses had been rounded up by our neighbors. Totally the deer's fault.
